This tweet came after Just Some Guy shared his opinions about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, which has been described as an anti-grooming bill by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ Press Secretary Christina Pushaw.

Pushaw tweeted, “The bill that liberals inaccurately call ‘Don’t Say Gay’ would be more accurately described as an Anti-Grooming Bill.”

DeSantis also commented on those protesting the bill saying, “It’s a free country, but understand: If you’re out protesting this bill, you are by definition putting yourself in favor of injecting sexual instruction to 5, 6 & 7-year-old kids. Most people think that’s wrong. Parents especially think that’s wrong.”

The bill, HB 1577, states in part, “classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.”

The bill also prevents school districts from adopting “procedures or student support forms that prohibit school district personnel from notifying a parent about his or her student’s mental, emotional, or physical health or well-being, or a change in a related services or monitoring, or that encourage or have the effect of encouraging a student to withhold from a parent such information.”

The bill also requires “each school district [to] notify parents of each healthcare service offered at their student’s school and the option to withhold consent or decline any specific service.”

Parents must also be notified of any well-being questionnaire or health screening form provided to students in kindergarten through third grade. The parents must be given the questionnaire or health screening form and approve of it before the school can administer it to the students.

If any of these provisions are violated, the bill provides a method of redress for parents beginning with the school district and escalating to a full blown lawsuit.

Just Some Guy responded to the bill and Disney’s response to in a video titled “Disney Finds No Love at the End of Rainbow.”

In the video, the YouTuber specifically references Catholic leadership saying, “I see Chapek graduated from the Vatican school of optics. ‘We’re sorry we got caught protecting douchebags. We’ll pretend to do better until you stop looking.'”

Not only did he target Catholic leadership, but he described anyone who supports the bill especially those on the right politically are homophobic.

At one point in the video he stated, “I also see that no faux good deed goes unpunished. Of course, the right claims Chapek bent the knee in opposition to their righteous homophobia. But, no, he didn’t. He’s pretending to bend the knee now that his public statement will have zero effect.”

He even concluded his video saying, “But what do I know? I know how to spot homophobia when I see it,” a clear refence to anyone in favor of the bill.

Fellow YouTuber 1/4 Black Garrett noted that one criticism of Just Some Guy was “a mild rebuttal and explanation.”

In response to this, Just Some Guy tweeted, “Accusing someone of being a pedo or activist for opposing an anti-gay bill is “a mild rebuttal and explanation.” I’ll keep that in mind the next time someone calls the right white supremacists.”

The YouTuber would also reply to YouTube Cecil Says who wrote, “Why some people would see an anti-grooming bill as anti-gay is actually quite telling of what they think of gay people.”

Just Some Guy replied, “Why some people would see mentioning gay people to kids as “grooming” is actually quite telling of what they think of gay people.”
