Following the discovery by fans that an episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier had two of its more violent scenes quietly censored in the months since its premiere, Disney has reportedly promised to restore the episode’s original cut.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Disney has not only claimed “that an alternate version of the show had been uploaded by mistake,” but that they are “currently working to fix the issue.”

“This alternate cut of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was accidentally uploaded in an attempt to correct a credit,” reported the outlet. “We’re told Disney hopes to have the issue remedied as soon as possible.”

As previously reported, these instances of censorship were found in the Marvel television series’ third episode, Power Broker.

The first case can be seen during Zemo’s execution of the scientist who successfully recreated the Super Soldier Serum for Hydra, Doctor Wilfred Nagel (Olli Haaskivi), during his expedition to Madripoor alongside Bucky and Sam.

In the original release of this scene, when shot by Zemo, Nagel can be seen spitting up blood as he falls backwards:

Before eventually falling, riddled with bulletholes, dead on the ground behind him:

However, in the version of the episode currently available on Disney Plus, not only does Nagel fall back without any visible bloodshed:

But he also now ends up on the floor completely, his body devoid of wounds and his eyes shut, thus conveying the possibility he may not have been shot dead, but rather simply knocked over and rendered unconscious:

The second comes just moments later when, in response to being shot at by a female bounty hunter, Bucky responds by hurling a metal pole at her person.

Originally, Bucky’s projectile impaled the woman, visibly nailing the bounty hunter to the shipping container standing immediately behind her:

In Disney Plus’ updated version, the rod now simply bounces off of her, with the scene cutting noticeably just short of the single frame confirming her being pinned to the shipping container:

As of writing, Disney has not yet restored the episode to its original version.
