Doctor Strange Actress And Husband Face Multiple Charges Of Sexually Abusing Young Girl, Husband Faces Additional Charges

Doctor Strange actress Zara Phythian, who now goes by her married name of Zara Marke, is accused of multiple charges of sexual abuse alongside her husband, Victor Marke.

According to The Daily Mail, Phythian, who played one of the zealots in the first Doctor Strange film, “is on trial accused of 14 charges of sexual activity with a child with her partner Victor Marke.”
The couple are accused of targeting the victim when she was just 13 and repeatedly abused her between 2005 and 2008. Much of the abuse was reportedly filmed in order to recreate scenes from pornography films.

As noted in The Daily Mail’s report, the first instance of abuse allegedly saw the couple ply the victim with rum and then “dared” the victim to perform oral sex on Marke. Phythian encouraged the abuse by demonstrating the sex act on her husband in order to make the victim more relaxed and comfortable, and then dared her to follow her lead.
The abuse then allegedly happened “once or twice a month” for three years with the victim claiming Marke had sex with her around 20 times.

A video was shown to the jurors where the victim detailed the first encounter that took place at the Marke’s then home in Arnold, Nottingham.
The victim said, “It was Captain Morgan’s Dark Rum. My mum did not like me drinking. I was not allowed to drink.”
She would also explain how they allegedly initially abused her, “Zara asked me if I wanted to play a game of ‘dare’, and started [performing a sex act on] Victor. She asked me to do the same. Then he took it in turns to have sex with each of us.”
“I just tried to copy Zara’s reactions and emotions, the noises she was making. I had never received much attention from boys. I think I just liked the attention. It just went on from there,” the victim said.

The alleged victim further stated, “I knew it was wrong, but I did not know how to get out of the situation, or say anything.”
“I just did whatever they asked me to do. They made it seem like I was some naughty kid and they were helping me out. I just felt like there was no way out. They told me not to say anything,” she added.

On top of the 14 charges Marke and Pythian face for abusing the alleged victim, Marke also faces four other charges of indecent assault on another woman who was 15 when the attacks allegedly occurred between 2002 and 2003.
Both Marke and Pythian deny the charges.
