Shazam: Fury Of The Gods Leaks Claim Wonder Woman Is In the Film – But It’s Not Gal Gadot

CinemaCon recently took place and since it wrapped the Internet has been abuzz with teases for various DC films including Shazam: Fury of the Gods which is set for release later this year after the slate was reorganized.

One of the clips screened for critics and insiders has a Fast & Furious reference that’s apropos with the tenth film in that franchise on the way and Helen Mirren starring in both film series as of late, but the clip had more to spoil according to Collider EIC Steven Weintraub.
“The clip WB showed from #Shazamfuryofthegods had a joke about ‘Fast and Furious’ and family and the timing with news about ‘Fast X’ today made a lot of us in the press section laugh out loud,” he tweeted.
“Footage looks so good,” he added, turning then to a revelation concerning Wonder Woman to a fault. “Opens with Shazam and Wonder Woman but it isn’t WW… u will c.”

Senior Gizmodo reporter Germain Lussier adds more as he contextualizes Wonder Woman’s presence, the FF reference, and how they actually fit into the story of Shazam 2.
“Shazam: Fury of the Gods clip just played too. Billy has a dream that Wonder Woman wants to date him,” said Lussier. “Later he tells Helen Mirren’s character he’s seen the Fast and Furious movies, so saving the world is about FAMILY. Then his whole family shows up. Funny and sweet.”

He later clarified that Wonder Woman wasn’t Gal Gadot but didn’t go into greater detail. “It’s not Gal Gadot though. And a ton of other stuff happened but now Aquaman stuff is happening and I don’t have time to describe it all! (Yet. I will later),” Lussier added.

How a DCEU movie could have Wonder Woman without Gal Gadot when there’s no evidence she left the franchise is explained by a plot-detail leak on a 4chan board where the information is now considered confirmed.
4chan’s anonymous leakers claim the Wizard returns and poses as Diana. “Journo confirms a bit from the Shazam 2 leaks (the wizard posing as Wonder Woman),” it says.

Absent more context, it sounds like The Wizard takes on the appearance of Wonder Woman without a double for Gadot, or the use of her face. He, or still perhaps a she if there is a female double, either looks different then or is filmed from behind, though that’s strictly a guess.
