Actress Milana Vayntrub, who was slated to play Squirrel Girl in a cancelled New Warriors TV series, but is probably most known for being the saleswoman in AT&T commercials, recently glorified death by noting she was “grateful” for an abortion she had.

In an op-ed at The Daily Beast, published in February of last year Vayntrub first details the birth of her son before she goes on to lie about a constitutional right to commit murder of an unborn child being stripped away. There is no such right and there never was despite a Supreme Court ruling in the 1970s that has subsequently been overturned.

From there, Vayntrub details she got pregnant while living outside of wedlock with her first boyfriend out of college. After taking a pregnancy test, she claims, “I immediately knew the right thing to do was to have an abortion.”

Having an abortion is never the right thing to do.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church clearly states, “Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law.”

Nevertheless, Vayntrub goes on to claim, “There was no handwringing, no confusion, no sleepless nights. I’ve always had a strong moral compass—the kind that sets off blaring sirens and flashing red lights in my chest if I feel like I’m doing something wrong. In this case, all was silent.”

“My compass pointed very clearly in the direction of not bringing a child into the world that I did not want and could not care for,” she wrote.

It’s clear that she doesn’t have a strong moral compass given the Catechism also notes, “Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person—among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

As for her claim that she could not care for the child, this is also a lie. She could have taken care of the child. She also could have looked for someone to adopt the child. She had plenty of options to bring the child in the world, but she chose murder instead.

From there, Vayntrub contradicts her previous claim that the killing innocent children is constitutional right as she plainly writes, “Within two weeks, I had a safe procedure in my doctor’s office, and it was no big deal. My abortion story is uncomplicated and straightforward, based on a decision that was all my own. I understand this is a privilege. I also understand that access to abortion should never be a privilege; it should be a protected right.”

If it was a constitutional right as she previously claimed, she wouldn’t be calling for murder to be a protected right. It would have already been protected.

“Marginalized Americans have always been the most impacted by racist and classist reproductive policies throughout history,” she writes.

The actress then absurdly writes, “Deep down, I think most Americans understand that we should all have the freedom and power to make choices about our bodies, lives, and futures.”

However, she clearly doesn’t want that applied to the innocent lives she’s advocating for snuffing out. It’s freedom for me, but not for thee.

She wants the freedom to take freedom from other people namely individuals who cannot defend themselves. It’s heinous.

Vayntrub concluded her op-ed writing, “For so many reasons, I am grateful for the beautifully boring abortion I had and the essential health care I received.”

“Mainly because today, I can show up for my little person with open arms knowing I’ve chosen our life together,” she wrote.

Vayntrub’s actions are indeed heinous. Her promotion of murder especially against the most innocent is diabolical. However, given the fact that she did indeed commit this heinous action, it’s more than likely she’s suffering on an extremely profound level.

Fortunately, that suffering can be relieved through Jesus Christ’s mercy. Bishop Michael Burbidge of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington notes, “To all who have endured the pain of abortion, I assure you, Our Lord desires to bring you comfort and peace. Through his mercy, you can experience his healing and forgiveness and come to know God’s abiding presence in your life. The Catholic Church stands ready to walk with you on that journey.”
