Liam Neeson Claims ‘Batman Begins’ Villain Ra’s Al Ghul “Isn’t Really A Bad Guy,” Says He Has No Interest In Doing Anymore Star Wars

Actor Liam Neeson recently claimed that the Batman villain he plays in Batman Begins, Ra’s Al Ghul, isn’t really a bad guy while also sharing he has no interest in doing anymore Star Wars.

Neeson did a bit with Men’s Health where he answered a number of questions from Twitter users about a bevy of subjects.
At one point in the bit, he’s asked by one user “would he play a villain in Robert Pattinson’s Batman?”
Neeson responded, “Would I play a villain in the latest reincarnation of Batman? No, I’ve already done that in Batman Begins with Christian Bale. I was Ra’s al Ghul.”

The actor went on to claim he wasn’t really a bad guy despite wanting to mass murder the entire city of Gotham due to the moral decay and corruption that had overtaken the city. Neeson stated, “He wasn’t really a bad guy. He was trying to reorganize the world as it needs to be organized.”
Neeson then reiterated, “No, I wouldn’t and I hear the latest Batman is like three hours long. Hello? (He then pretends to fall asleep).”

Not only did Neeson claim the mass murdering Ra’s al Ghul isn’t really a villain, but he also indicated he has no interest in doing anymore Star Wars projects after his cameo in the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Asked by one user, “Wonder if he will pop up in a spin off prequel?” Neeson responded, “No. Star Wars, no. As much as I admire them, there’s just so many of them them now. They’re like…They’re like…So I ‘ve lost track, unfortunately.”
“But there’s too many of them,” he repeated.

While Neeson says he has no interest in any more Star Wars, he recently did cameo in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn despite breaking canon set forth in The Clone Wars that he could not actually manifest as a Force Ghost.
He also recently provided his voice to the character in the Tales of the Jedi animated series.
