Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood director Yasuhiro Irie will direct a new Netflix original anime series called ‘Eden.’
The series will reportedly be four episodes in total. Netflix made the announcement via Twitter.
This first look at the new anime EDEN is downright stunning, plus I just learned that it’ll be directed by Yasuhiro Irie who worked on (both!) Full Metal Alchemist anime. Cannot wait to check out this four-episode series in 2020. pic.twitter.com/4Pl6JiYMwM

Here’s the official description of the series:
“The upcoming sci-fi fantasy series Eden is set thousands of years in the future, where a city known as “Eden 3” is inhabited solely by robots whose former masters vanished a long time ago. On a routine assignment, two farming robots accidentally awaken a human baby girl from stasis questioning all they were taught to believe — that humans were nothing more than a forbidden ancient myth. Together, the two robots secretly raise the child in a safe haven outside Eden.”
Crunchyroll reports along with Ysuhiro Irie, Eden will be produced by Justin Leach. Toshihiro Kawamoto and Christophe Ferreira will take the lead on character and concept designs. The script will be handled by Kimiko Ueno. Clover Xie will be the background art director, and the anime will be composed by Kevin Penkin.
The series is expected to stream on Netflix some time in 2020.
