DC Comics Hits The Slots
Warner Bros. and Playtech have agreed to a multi-year licensing deal to develop casino games based on DC Comics-themed properties according to Gareth Bracken at Gambling Insider.
Those properties include the DC Comics 1960s Batman TV series, Man of Steel (2013), Green Lantern (2011), Superman I (1978), and Superman II (1980) feature films.
Playtech will be developing and designing the games based off of the brands. They will be a part of Playtech’s omni-channel offerings which currently provides more than 600 omni-channel casino titles across all channels, platforms, and devices. Players are also able to access the games “at any time and on any device through a single wallet and single account.”
Playtech Ceo Mor Weizer was enthused by the deal, “Playtech’s best performing in-house and premium branded casino slot content will be further strengthened through our partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the launch of the DC Comics branded games. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and are all very excited to see the outcome of the DC Comics-themed games when they are delivered later this year.”
