It’s a duel to the death between Marvel’s The Punisher and 2000 A.D.’s Judge Dredd.
Here’s the tale of the tape:
The Punisher
Frank Castle aka The Punisher is a staple of the Marvel Universe known for his graphic and brutal one-man war against organized crime.
He started out as a lethal and effective US Marine during the Vietnam War. However, after a close call in Vietnam, he resigned his post and became a Special Forces instructor to be closer with his wife and two children. Tragedy struck when Frank’s family was witness to a mob execution in Central Park. The mob, not a group to leave any witnesses, murdered Frank’s wife and his two children. After being subjected to the corrupt justice system, Frank became The Punisher exacting his own justice on the evil.
Being a former Marine, Castle is an expert in a number of weapons and has extensive hand-to-hand combat training. He’s been known to use a number of advanced weaponry from the SHIELD arsenal as well as fly a goblin glider, but he prefers conventional firearms. He is a skilled point shooter and deadly accurate with sniper rifles, assault rifles, and pistols.
Along with his firearms skill he also is an exceptional knife fighter. He’s gone toe to toe with Daredevil and Black Widow deploying a number of improvised fighting skills. He also is a student of Nash-Ryu Jiu Jitsu. He’s also mastered Chin Na, Ninjutsu, and Shorin-Ryu.
The Punisher also is an excellent military strategist who has been able to outwit SHIELD, HAMMER, and the Avengers. He is a master at both convention and guerilla warfare tactics. He’s defeated Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Wolverine through his mastery strategies. Many of his strategies include straight-up combat assaults as well as bombings and ambushes. He’s also used his enemies advantages against them using their own money, weapons, and supplies to take them down. He’s even turned criminal gangs against each other in order to destroy them.
While his military and combat skills are impressive, he also is a skilled programmer and hacker having breached the U.S. government a number of times.
Frank Castle’s weapon of choice is the M60 machine gun, but he’s also known to use an Uzi 9mm as well as a standard issue M16A1. He also uses a Derringer D32 and carries a Gerber Mk2 knife.
Frank Castle stands 6’2 tall and weighs in at 210 pounds.
Judge Dredd

Judge Dredd’s weapon of choice is his handgun named the Lawgiver. It’s a DNA-coded weapon that will only work in the hands of Dredd. If anyone else attempts to use the firearm it will explode in their hands. The Lawgiver fires six different types of ammo including standard bullets, rubber ricochet, armor piercing, heat seeking, incendiary, and Hi-Ex. It also has the ability to fire tracking bullets, stun shots, and more, but requires loading to do so. Along with his Lawmaker Dredd carries a Scattergun, which is a pump-action shotgun, a daystick and a boot knife.
Standard issue for Judges, Dredd deploys the Lawmaster, a large motorbike that comes equipped with powerful side-mounted and cannons and a centrally mounted laser. Dredd can even command the Lawmaster to drive itself.
Judge Joe Dredd stands 6’2 tall and weighs in around 200 pounds.
