Alexander was asked to join Thor: Ragnarok, but she was unable to commit to the film as she was shooting her TV drama Blindspot at the same time. Alexander told Yahoo, ” was asked, but the timing of when they were going to shoot and when Blindspot was gonna shoot — it was pretty much the same time. So there was a conflict there.” She continued, “I was hoping for more of a notice from [the studio] so I could make it work, but it was a short notice thing. They called and said, ‘Hey, by the way, would you come do this?’ I said there is no way I can make that work that fast.”
Rumors have been swirling about a potential Lady Sif Disney+ series. The rumors indicate the show would follow Sif during her adventures following her banishment from Asgard. They also indicate that Enchantress will most likely be the primary villain. However, she won’t be alone in trying to wrangle Enchantress. The rumor indicates Beta Ray Bill may join her in bringing the rogue Asgardian magic user to heel.
It’s possible it might be a bit for a Lady Sif show to become a reality. Alexander’s Blindspot television show was recently renewed for a fifth and final season. However, her schedule might open up after that and she could return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the fan favorite character.
Here’s hoping Jamie Alexander continues to heal following her surgery!
