The gif appears to have originated on LargeTrap’s Instagram account where he captioned the gif teasing a Super Smash reference, “Ganondorf neutral b be like.”

It has over 300,000 views and 62,000 likes on Instagram.

The original gif’s soundtrack is ITSOKTOCRY by Viagra featuring 909Memphis, and it shows Thanos sending Captain Marvel to oblivion.

The gif has made its way to Reddit and quickly became the top post on the Thanos Did Nothing Wrong subreddit with user RivenTheAhamkara captioning the gif, “This…does put a smile on my face.”

It’s possible Thanos is punishing Captain Marvel for her torture of the innocent motorcycle man back in the ’90s. I mean Thanos does say, “You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.” Captain Marvel certainly found Thanos and was subsequently rewarded by The Mad Titan for her efforts. One thing is for sure. Captain Marvel is not smiling.

The meme has even spawned some fans desiring a MCU version of Smash Brothers.

User Scienide9 writes, “I would give anything for MCU Smash. How many characters would we be up to? Over 50?

In fact, he would go on to make a list indicating he found 81 characters that could be part of the roster.

I’d probably prefer a Mortal Kombat or Injustice version for the MCU. In fact, this Thanos gif might have been even better if it referenced Mortal Kombat instead of Smash Bros.

What do you make of this gif? Do you wish there was more scenes of Thanos steamrolling Captain Marvel in Avengers: Endgame? Would you be interested in a MCU version of Super Smash Bros or even an Injustice or Mortal Kombat style game?
