A new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker rumor states Liam Neeson’s return as Qui-Gon Jinn was cut from the film, but it also notes that Kylo Ren will wear Darth Vader’s iconic suit.

The rumor from Twitter user IFixTrailers indicates that Liam Neeson had filmed a scene as Qui-Gon Jinn as a Force Ghost and was expected to return in The Rise of Skywalker. However, it appears the scene was cut due to Liam Neeson’s controversial comments about seeking revenge after a friend had been sexually assaulted. Neeson had indicated he was open to returning to Qui-Gon Jinn in January 2018. (Related: Liam Neeson Says He’s Open to Play Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn Again!)

Not only did this new rumor indicate that Liam Neeson’s role as Qui-Gon Jinn was cut from the film, but the rumor also indicates that The Hutts will make a return in the film. The Hutts have not appeared in any of the Disney movies. The last time a Hutt was in a Star Wars movie was back in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars film where Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano were tasked with rescuing Jabba the Hutt’s son Rotta. Rotta had been kidnapped by Asajj Ventress in a plan that was orchestrated by Count Dooku and Ziro the Hutt.

The rumor goes on to indicate that Billy Dee Williams’ Lando Calrissian will only have a minor role in the film.

However, the biggest rumor is that Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren will put on the suit of Darth Vader. The rumor indicates that a number of staff members have seen someone wearing the Darth Vader suit on location in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. Star Wars News Net previously reported that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker would be filming in Bedfordshire back in 2018. They specifically noted they would be filming at the Cardington Airship Sheds in Bedfordshire.

What do you make of these new rumors? Would you have wanted to see Liam Neeson return as Qui-Gon Jinn? What do you think about Kylo Ren putting on the Darth Vader suit?
