After the announcement Kevin Feige would be working on a Star Wars film, Captain Marvel actress took to Twitter to post a photo of herself dressed as a Jedi.

Larson wrote on Twitter, “Did someone say Star Wars?!” In the photo she leans on C-3PO with a lightsaber in her hand.

A rumor dropped earlier this week that Disney and Lucasfilm were looking to have Larson play the lead role in an upcoming Star Wars film either directed by Rian Johnson or Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

Larson has been campaigning to get a Star Wars role since the Captain Marvel press tour. While promoting Captain Marvel with Samuel L. Jackson, Larson told EW, “It’s so cool. I wish I was a Jedi.” (Related: Captain Marvel Actress Brie Larson: “I Wanna be a Jedi”)

In fact, she detailed that Jackson actually brought his lightsaber to the set of Captain Marvel. Larson revealed she cried when he let her wield it, “I got to hold his lightsaber! He brought it to me on set on May the 4th, and I cried. It was so cool.” She added,  “I wanna be a Jedi.”

Larson would then show up at the launch of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland where she hung out with Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein. Eckstein fawned all over Larson in an Instagram post.  (Related: Star Wars Ahsoka Tano Actress Ashley Eckstein Claims Brie Larson Lives The Part of Captain Marvel Both On and Off Screen)

Eckstein wrote, “I’ve long followed Brie and I greatly admire and respect how she has taken on the role and responsibility of being Captain Marvel. She lives the part both on and off the screen.”

Even DC Comics artist Joe Quinones got in the act of promoting Larson to be in Star Wars as he drew the actress as a Jedi. (Related: DC Comics Artist Joe Quinones Imagines Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson as a Jedi Knight!)

Not only is Larson stirring the rumor mill herself with this photo, but a report from The Hollywood Reporter indicates Kevin Feige already has an actor in mind for his Star Wars film. (Related: Report: Kevin Feige Already Has “Major Actor” Picked for Star Wars Film)

Feige has had high praise for Larson in the past. In fact, he described one of the highlights of his career was introducing Larson as Captain Marvel at San Diego Comic Con. “One of the highlights of my career at Marvel was introducing her at Comic-Con and having her come out on stage and stand there with literally almost everybody else from our movies. There she was at the forefront, and it was a great foreshadowing – not just for how audiences are going to embrace Brie as this character, but also for how Captain Marvel is about to take the lead and be at the forefront of the entire Cinematic Universe.”

It’s quite possible Brie Larson might be the lead in an upcoming Star Wars film.
