Ant-Man star and Wasp actress Evangeline Lilly took to Instagram to post a photo with her head shaven.

She captioned the photo, “Hello 🌏. It’s a BEAUTIFUL day.”

The photo was a follow-up, where Lilly posted a series of gifs detailing the process she went through to shave her head.

In fact, Lilly had debuted her shaved head at a local school for their Halloween fair. Lilly appeared to do a reading of her children’s book series The Squicker Wonkers.

It’s unclear why Evangeline Lilly shaved her head. She will star as Allison Beck in Happy Life, which IMDB describes as “A woman embarks on a mission of self-discovery after she suspects her workaholic husband of having an affair.”

Reports also indicate that Ant-Man 3 has received the green light at Marvel Studios with director Peyton Reed attached to the film. The Hollywood Reporter indicated that their sources tell them “the plan is to shoot the pic at the end of 2020 or top of 2021 for a likely release in 2022.” The film is expected to shoot after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Michael Douglas told Collider while promoting the Kominsky Method, “We are starting a third one beginning in January 2021. It’s our date for starting another Marvel.”

With the start date still over a year away, it’s unlikely the shaved head has anything to do with her role as the Wasp in Ant-Man 3.
