Bleach Animator Masashi Kudo Unsure if He Will Ever Work on the Anime Again

Bleach animator Masashi Kudo is unsure if he will ever work on the anime again.

Kudo made the announcement after a fan asked him, “Will we ever see more Bleach animation from you?”

He responded, “I don’t know.”

Not only is Kudo an animator for Bleach, but he was also the character designer, storyboard artist, and an episode director.

He worked on Bleach, Bleach: Memories of Nobody, Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion, Bleach: Fade to Black, and Bleach: The Hell Verse.

The Bleach anime was produced by Studio Pierrot between 2004 and 2012. There are 366 episodes total.

The show follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki as he acquires the powers of a Soul Reaper and finds himself taking on the duties of a Soul Reaper by protecting humans from evil spirits and guiding them into the afterlife.

The anime is adapted from Tite Kubo’s manga, but also includes original stories that were not in the manga. In fact five of the show’s 16 seasons are original material.

Based on Kudo’s comments it does not appear there are any plans for the anime to continue in either a feature film or new TV series.

Do you want to see Bleach make a return or are you satisfied with the films and TV episodes we’ve already got?
