Along with these Jedi, Luke Skywalker also appears in the film.

While some of these Jedi will be instantly recognizable to fans of the Star Wars movies, others might be complete strangers.

Fans will most definitely recognize Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, and Anakin Skywalker. They all played key roles in the prequel and original trilogies.

However, fans might not be as familiar with Luminara Unduli, Ahsoka Tano, Aayla Secura, and Adi Galia.

Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka Tano is obviously the more well-known out of that list. She first appeared in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars as Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan.

She would return in The Clone Wars animated series fighting alongside Anakin against the Separatists. She would even be falsely accused of treason and banished from the Jedi Order. When the truth was uncovered, she would be invited back, but would refuse to rejoin the Jedi. Instead, she chose to carve her own path.

She would return in Star Wars Rebels and help lay the groundwork for the Rebellion against the Empire. At the end of Rebels, she would team up with the Mandalorian Sabine Wren as they set out to find their compatriot, Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was alive the last time we saw her, but it appears she has somehow been killed in the time between the end of Star Wars Rebels and The Rise of Skywalker.

Luminara Unduli

Luminara Unduli is a Mirialan Jedi Master. During the Clone Wars she commanded the 41st Elite Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic.

She was also the master of Padawan Barriss Offee, who would eventually betray the Jedi Order by bombing the Jedi Temple and attempting to frame Ahsoka Tano.

Unduli would go on a number of missions with Ahsoka and Anakin throughout the Clone Wars. Unlike Ahsoka, she would not survive Order 66. She would be arrested and killed following the order.

Unduli’s remains would then be used as bait in an attempt to attract any Jedi who were able to survive Order 66.

Aayla Secura

Aayla Secura is a Rutian Twi’lek female who served as a Jedi General of the Grand Army of the Republic. She commanded the clone troopers of the 327th Star Corps.

Before becoming a Jedi, Secura was the Padawan of Jedi Master Quinlan Vos.

During the Clone Wars, Secura would fight across the galaxy from Geonosis to Quell as well as Coruscant and Felucia.

Secura would die at the hands of her clone troopers when Order 66 was enacted.

Adi Gallia

Adi Gallia was a Tholothian Jedi Master, who was born on Coruscant. She served on the Jedi Council during the Clone Wars.

She would participate in the initial battle of the Clone Wars on Geonosis, where Mace Windu and Yoda led dozens of Jedi and a clone army against the Separtists and their droids on Geonosis.

She would also play the part of a negotiator during the Stark Hyperspace War.

Gallia would die on a mission to bring Savage Opress and Darth Maul to heel. She would join Obi-Wan Kenobi as they traveled to the Sertar sector and encountered Maul attempting to pressure the pirate Hondo Ohnaka into joining his growing criminal empire.

During the ensuing battle, Gallia would die at the hands of Maul’s brother, Savage Opress.
