New Venom 2 Set Photos Show Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady

A brand new batch of Venom 2 set photos have made their way to the internet, specifically showcasing actor Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady aka Carnage.
The new set photos are courtesy of JustJared.
They show Harrelson’s Kasady wearing a red Hawaiian shirt overtop a long-sleeve white shirt. He’s sporting what appear to be black jeans. But maybe the biggest surprise is Harrelson’s new hairdo. His hair has been dyed orange.

In Venom, Harrelson’s Kasady’s hair appeared to be a dark red, rather than the bright orange seen in the set photos. However, that might be something that can be adjusted in post or could be the lighting in the prison scene from the first film.
However, the different colored hair is similar to how Kasady and Carnage’s hair is depicted during one of his first major appereances in Amazing Spider-Man #362. In that comic Kasady looks to have orange, red, and yellow hair.

And then you’ve got him with both red and blond hair in two subsequent panels.
The set photos also confirm that Kasady has gotten out of prison. Although it’s unclear how.
The set photos also showcase a red convertible Mustang as well as stunt actors hanging from ropes. It looks like it could be some kind of rescue scene as one of them appears to be holding the other in his arms. It could also be someone giving someone else a tour of the city as in one of the photos, the person being carried is pointing in awe at something below him.
A rumor from HN Entertainment regarding Venom 2 indicates Harrelson’s Kasady is going to be executed by the state of California for multiple murders. However, he escapes alongside fellow inmate Frances Louise Barrison aka Shriek, who is reportedly being played by Naomie Harris.
Not only will Kasady escape, but apparently his life story will make Brock a big shot journalist that puts a target on his back. Brock is rumored to discover that Kasady is responsible for burning down the St. Estes Home For Boys orphanage. The fire killed 12 people.
It’s unclear if Kasady will have the Carnage symbiote when he escapes prison. It’s also unclear if Shriek will have her abilities. There’s also speculation that Harris could be playing the symbiote Scream, given that Shriek is a mutant, and the previous Sony and Marvel deal precluded Sony from using mutants. However, Sony and Marvel recently signed a new deal and its unclear what the parameters of that deal are especially since it appears that MCU characters like Vulture will be showing up in the upcoming Morbius film.
Venom 2 stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom, Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage, Michelle Williams, Reid Scott, and Naomie Harris.
The film is directed by Andy Serkis bassed off a screenplay written by Kelly Marcel. It is expected to hit theaters on October 2, 2020.
