Miller, who identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them pronouns, was arrested on March 27th after “South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of disorderly patron at a bar on Silva Street” and “during the course of their investigation, determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke.”

“Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense),” reported the Hawaii Police Department.

They further recalled, “The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail. Miller was arrested and charged on both offenses and total bail was set at $500. He provided the bail and was released.”

In the body cam footage, Miller was captured on video disobeying the arresting officers who attempted to put them in handcuffs.

The actor can also be heard claiming that they film themselves getting assaulted in order to create “NFT crypto art”.

“I got assaulted and I started filming,” Miller tells the officers. “Let me show you the video. I got assaulted in this bar, twice in a row. I film myself when I get assaulted for NFT crypto art.”

Miller then gets in the cops’ faces, yelling, “What’s your name? What’s your badge number? Tell me your name and your badge number.”

“Full name!” the Fantastic Beasts actor further exclaims. “Full badge number! Don’t touch me. Tell me your name and your badge number, now!”

The actor then proceeds to argue against the arrest and claiming both to be the true victim and that “the guy at that bar declared himself as a Nazi.”

“I have it on film, and he attacked me,” Miller adds.

Protesting further, Miller invokes the rights guaranteed to their persons by the Ninth and Fourth Amendment to the U.S. constitution.

“I claim my ninth amendment rights to not be unlawfully persecuted for a crime of no designation,” says the actor. “Disorderly conduct means something I am un-guilty of. I claim my fourth amendment rights to not be searched and seized on no probable cause, that you will not be able to offer in a court of law.”

Miller also complains about being groped when a male officer performs a pat-down, inveighing, “I’m transgender, non-binary, and I don’t want to be searched by a man!”

A full rundown of the arrest footage, as provided YouTube and Geeks+Gamers commentator Ryan Kinel and including additional notes about Miller’s lack of cooperation with authorities, can be seen in the video below.

As noted above, the arrest seen in the body cam footage was but the first of two made against Miller in the island state over the course of a month’s time between March and April of 2022.

On April 19th, the actor was arrested yet again after Hawaii police “responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a get together at a private residence in the Leilani Estates subdivision in lower Puna.”

“During the course of their investigation,” explained the authorities, “police determined that the individual, later identified as Ezra Miller, became irate after being asked to leave and reportedly threw a chair, striking a 26-year-old female on the forehead, resulting in an approximate half-inch cut.”

Noting that “the female victim refused treatment for her injury,” the HPD then confirmed that “Miller, who identifies as they/them, was subsequently arrested at 1:30 a.m. for Assault in the second degree after being located on the roadway during a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 130 and Kukula Street in Kea‘au.”

“After conferring with the County Prosecutor’s Office, at 4:05 a.m. on Tuesday morning Miller was released pending further investigation,” the law enforcement agency concluded. “This is an active investigation.”

In addition to these pair of arrests, Miller has also reportedly been the subject of numerous police calls across Hawaii throughout this period, some even resulting in further fines and citations.

On March 19th, the actor received a traffic violation after police found the Fantastic Beasts star intoxicated and blocking a sidewalk, at which time the actor reportedly became “uncooperative and refused to leave the area.”

Just hours after making bail in relation to the arrest seen in the above footage, the actor would then be escorted from a Hilo hotel property after allegedly bursting into a couple’s bedroom, threatening them, and stealing various items such as wallets and passports.

“On 3/28/22 [Miller] burst into the bedroom of the Petitioners and threatened [redacted] saying ‘I will burry you and your slut wife [redacted],” reads a restraining order petition filed by the couple against Miller and obtained by news outlet Radar. “[Miller] stole the passport…and wallet which included ss card, driver license, bank cards, among other things of [redacted].”

Despite these transgressions against them, the couple has since dropped their petition, though neither they nor their attorney have commented as to why.

After HPD escorted Miller from the home, Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho reportedly informed the Associated Press that Miller “has been the source of police calls in Hilo 10 times since March 7,” with offenses ranging from “filming people at a gas station, refusing to leave the sidewalk area of a restaurant and arguing with people.”

These Hawaii incidents are far from the first time Miller has had a run-in with the law due to his violent behavior.

In 2020, Miller was caught on video choking and wrestling a woman to the ground outside of an Iceland pub. Though this moment went viral and Miller was escorted off the premises by staff, he was not charged for the incident.

As these incidents become more severe and frequent and attract more and more bad publicity for the studio, Warner Bros. and their changing regime find themselves in a bind with Miller.

Having invested so much money in The Flash, it wouldn’t be cost-effective to fire and replace Miller with a new actor, either through reshoots of the magic of digital effects and editing.

Fans want to see Grant Gustin or Dylan O’Brien step in, but odds of either occurring are reportedly nonexistent.
