This latest info surrounding Rocksteady Games’ latest title was first raised to the public courtesy of noted scooper Miller Ross, whose track includes accurately scooping that Nolan North would voice Superman and Jason Issacs would play Brainiac in Suicide Squad: Kill Justice League, as well as the cessation of development on Marvel’s Avengers ceasing development and the existence of the Overwatch-inspired Marvel Rivals.

“Multiple sources at Rocksteady tell me that Kevin Conroy recorded dialogue for Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League’s post-launch campaign before his passing,” Ross claimed on April 5th.

“Batman returns to Metropolis in Suicide Squad’s upcoming 4th season, after being rescued from a medieval-themed Elseworld of supervillain Brainiac’s design, joining The Flash and Green Lantern as the Justice League continues to reform following the events of the game’s campaign,” Ross continued.

Turning to the game’s live-service roadmap, Ross then explained, “Season 4 of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is currently slated to commence in January, 2025. The season also brings Deathstroke into the fray as a new playable character, who is of two minds about rescuing the man who humiliated him in 2015’s Arkham Knight.”

“This storyline concludes in the game’s 5th season, when the reassembled Justice League join forces with ARGUS to end Brainiac’s multiversal reign of terror,” he added. “Sources tell me that this will likely serve as the game’s finale, with the recent season 1 doing little to reignite sales.”

Next pressed by fellow Twitter user @bigbluebooster as to whether he could provide further information as to the identities of the game’s “other four [DLC] characters”, Ross was happy to present his alleged findings.

“The other playable characters I’ve heard were on the table for season 6 and beyond are: Killer Croc, Katana, Poison Ivy, Black Manta, Scream Queen, Gorilla Grodd.”

Moving to correct GameSpot’s article, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Hackers Are Already Playing As Next Season’s Character,” Ross then affirmed, “…no, they’re not. The season 2 character is Mrs. Freeze. Deathstroke is season 4. And nobody is playing as him, they can just make his name and a little icon appear. His model isn’t even in the public client.”

@Sigmamale388483 wanted Ross to elaborate on the Justice League essentially being reformed. “Wait so what I’m reading is they are fine?” Ross then revealed “SEASON 2 SPOILERS,” with the sensitive content image reading “Well, they’re being experimented on by Brainiac.”

“Flash has like a whole Peeta Mellark thing when you rescue him where he can slip back into brainwashing, which is one reason why Victoria puts him in [a] cryostasis pod while they fix his brain.”

At the end of Suicide Squad: Kills The Justice League, Lex Luthor reveals that multiple Brainiacs from other dimensions are working together to take over the multiverse. As such, in the post-game, the Squad – and players – would be tasked with defeating roughly thirteen other Brainiacs.

Admittedly, the existence of thirteen Brainiacs does not explicitly mean the game was planning to dedicate a single season to each of them, as plans can change and scale based on factors such as fan reception and sales.

Even so, condensing thirteen Braniacs’ worth of content down to just five suggests that the game, as admitted back in late February by Warner Bros. Discovery themselves, had indeed “fallen short” of expectations.

The free Season 1 update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice, its content centered around the introduction of a Joker from another reality- is available now. However, A cursory glance at various reviews (such as those provided by YouTubers ClownPuncher139, Pixelz, and MrMattyPlays) sadly confirms that the update upholds the base game’s reputation for being lackluster and grindy.

Major points of criticism include how older gear has been made redundant thanks to changes in enemy damage modifiers, the need for players to either reach Fear Rank 35 or spend 1,000 LuthorCoins (roughly $9.99) to unlock the Joker, and the fact that its mission offerings are the same repetitive ones on order in the base game.
