Pokémon Announces New Professor and His Daughter
The Pokémon Anime announced two brand new characters as well as a new base of operations for Ash and his new friend Go.
The two new characters are Professor Sakuragi and his daughter Koharu.

Professor Sakuragi is the director of the Sakuragi Research Institute in Vermillion City in the Kanto region. He will be providing Ash and his companions support on their ongoing journey.
Professor Sakuragi will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura, who previously voiced N in the Pokémon Best Wishes saga.

Professor Sakuragi will be joined by his daughter Koharu. She is 10 years old and a childhood friend of Go. She teams up with the electric-type Pokémon Yamper.

Koharu will be voiced by Kana Hanazawa. She previously voiced May in the Japanese version of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Animated Trailer.

A trailer for the new series was released back in September.

The series will debut after the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield to the Nintendo Switch. It will premiere on November 17 at 6 PM with an extended special beginning at 5:30 PM on Japanese TV.
