Second Season of Arifureta Confirmed
A second season of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest was confirmed via an illustration by the the series original illustrator Takayaki following the 13th Episode of Season 1.
The first season of the show is currently available to stream on Funimation. The series follows Hajime Nagumo and his high school class after they are transported into a fantasy world. Many of his classmates gain incredible abilities; however, Nagumo has to work his way to the top from the very bottom.
Toshinari Fukamachi, the voice actor behind Hajime Nagumo, thanked fans saying, “I’m really happy to be able to do more with animation because my friends are all together and the story is going to be more exciting.” His co-star Yuki Kuwahara, who voices Yue added, “I can still continue the journey with everyone… I ’m so happy!”

“Hajime Nagumo and his high school class are suddenly summoned to a fantastical land as heroes. But while most of his classmates have powerful stats and abilities, Hajime does not. Underappreciated and unprepared, he tumbles into the depths of a monster-infested dungeon where voracity and sacrifice are his only options. To thrive in this savage world, he’ll have no choice but to welcome the abyss.”
The anime series is based off the light novel by Ryo Shirakome with illustrations by Takayaki that originally began as a web novel. The series was adapted into a manga and serialized on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website. The novels are currently licensed by J-Novel Club and Seven Seas Entertainment.
Crunchyroll reports Volume 7 of the light novel series will be available in December and Volume 5 of the manga will be available in January.
No information was provided regarding when Season 2 will be released.
