Sunrise Releases New Gundam NT Trailer

Sunrise released the latest trailer for their upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam film, Gundam NT or Gundam Narrative. Take a look:

The trailer release comes after a live event Prelude to Narrative where the cast and crew discussed the upcoming film and confirmed the film will debut on November 30th.

During the Prelude to Narrative, they also revealed the official theme song for the film with the trailer release. The theme song for Mobile Suit Gundam NT will be “Narrative.” It was created with a collaboration by Sawano Hiroyuki and LiSA.

During the Prelude to Narrative they also confirmed a number of the cast. Yuichiro Umehara will give voice to Zoltan Akkanen, a rival to the film’s main protagonist. He will be joined by Makoto Furukawa, Ayumi Fujimura, and Kazuya Nakai.

Here’s the synopsis for the film:

“U.C. 0097. The year the Laplace’s Box was opened. Despite the revelation of the original charter for the Universal Century, which acknowledges the existence of Newtypes and their rights, the world remains largely unchanged.

After the destruction of the Neo Zeon remnant force known as the Sleeves, the event that has come to be known as the “Laplace Incident” seems to have drawn to a close. In the final battle, two Full Psycho Frame mobile suits displayed power beyond human imagination. The menace of the White Unicorn and the Black Lion were sealed away from public consciousness, and were consigned to be forgotten by history.

But now sightings of the RX-0 Unicorn 03, long thought lost two years ago, are being reported. Its name is Phenex, an immortal golden bird.”

The film follows the events of the original Mobile Suit Gundam Series as well as Mobile Suit Gundam Unicron. It will feature a number of new suits designs including the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex and the MSN-06S Sinanju Stein.

The film is expected to debut the first 20 minutes at Anime NYC between November 16 and 18. There isn’t news of a dubbed version yet, but Anime News Network did indicate that American audiences should hopefully get their hands on Gundam NT shortly after it debuts in Japan on November 30.
