Dark Horse Comics comic book adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods is almost here!
American Gods was originally published in 2001 by William Morrow and Headline. The book won both Hugo and Nebula Awards.
This adaptation will be co-written by P. Craig Russell. Russell has previously adapted Gaiman’s bestselling novels Coraline and The Graveyard Book. He will be joined by artist Scott Hamption!
This comic book adaptation will see twenty-seven single issues with three different story arcs. Those arcs include “Shadows,” “My Ainsel,” and “The Moment of the Storm.”
Along with artist Scott Hampton, the series will also feature guest interior art by Walt Simonson, Mark Buckingham, Colleen Doran, P. Craig Russell, and more. It will feature covers from Glenn Fabry, and Adam Brown. David Mack will provide variant covers. And for American Gods: Shadows #1 Dave McKean will provide a variant cover.
American Gods: Shadows #1 hits comic book shelves everywhere on March 15, 2017 just before the American Gods TV show, adapted by Bryan Fuller, debuts on Starz.
