Get Your First Look At Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn
BOOM! Studios provided a first look at the upcoming Power Rangers limited series titled Power Rangers: Drakkon New Dawn.
The three-issue series will be written by Anthony Burch with art by Simone Ragazzoni, colors by Raúl Angulo, and letters by Ed Dukeshire.
The series will see Ranger Slayer, Kimberly Hart, Drakkon’s mightiest warrior face off against the deadly secrets of her former master’s legacy.
Hart will first seek to purge Drakkon’s hold over her world beginning with the prison tower, Deadlock, where Drakkon held all those who opposed him.
However, Deadlock isn’t just a prison. Drakkon still has some tricks up his sleeves and opening the doors to Deadlock might just set in motion his final plan. A plan that will see Hart come face-to-face with a fan-favorite Power Rangers villain.
Back in May when the series was first announced BOOM! Studios Senior Editor Dafna Pleban elaborated on the series saying, “Kimberly must return home to face the fallout from her Ranger Slayer days but even she couldn’t have been prepared for the consequences of digging into Drakkon’s darkest secrets.”
Pleban added, “In Drakkon New Dawn, Anthony and Simone place our heroine in a situation where she’ll have to face enemies new and old, as well as a heartbreaking choice when confronted with the unthinkable!”
Here’s the official description for the limited series:
“An All-New Limited Series Revealing Drakkon’s Final Plan!
After the shocking events of Power Rangers: Ranger Slayer, Kimberly is determined to purge the world of Drakkon’s legacy, starting with Deadlock; the prison tower where Drakkon held all those who opposed him.
But even the Ranger Slayer has no clue of the true power kept in Deadlock-and what unlocking the doors will set into motion.
As Kimberly investigates the worst of Drakkon’s secrets, she sets in motion Drakkon’s final plan-one that will pit her against a fan favorite Power Rangers villain!”
The series will feature covers by Jung Geon Yoon and Dan Mora.
