Fairy Tail Creator Hiro Mashima Launches HERO’S Manga Combining All Creations In One Universe!
Fairy Tale creator Hiro Mashima fulfilled his promise that all of his world’s would unite in a single universe with the release of HERO’S in October’s Weekly Shonen Magazine that celebrates the magazine’s 60th anniversary.
Back in September Mashima announced HERO’S as a brand new serialization that would run alongside Edens Zero.
According to a translation from Crunchyroll, Mashima wrote:
“I was told, ‘Please do something for Magazine’s 60th anniversary, Mashima-san.’ So I will launch another new serialization from October. I will work on one more weekly serialization work simultaneously with EDENS ZERO. It is going to be a short series, but two weekly serializations! I will do my best!”

He would then reveal this new serialization would be titled HERO’S and would combine the worlds of Fairy Tail, Rave, and Edens Zero.

HERO’S has officially arrived in the Weekly Shonen Magazine and it does indeed combine Rave, Fairy Tail, and Edens Zero.
Using Google Translate, Comic Natalie reports, “The story begins when Natsu, Lucy, Happy and others from “Fairy Tail” who came to the south island met Shiki from “Edens Zero.”
Fairy Tail
Mashima wrapped up Fairy Tail after an 11 year run. The manga was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Magazine beginning in August 2006 and ran until July 2017.
The series has been collected and published in 63 tankobon volumes.
It would get an anime adaptation from A-1 Pictures that began broadcasting in 2009. The original series anime run would end in 2013.
However, a second series would premiere in 2014 and wrap up in 2016. A third and final series began airing in October 2018 and concluded in September of this year.
The story follows the adventures of Natsu Dragneel and his guild Fairy Tail.
Rave
Rave was also serialized in the Weekly Shonen Magazine. It began serialization in July 1999 and ran until July 2005.
It has been collected in 35 tankobon volumes.
Studio Deen produced a 51 episode anime adaptation of the series that premiered in 2001 and ran through 2002. The anime was licensed to Cartoon Network and aired as part of Toonami in 2004.
The series follows Haru Glory as he seeks the pieces of the sacred stone Rave.
Edens Zero
Edens Zero is Mashimo’s most recent work.
It began serialization in the Weekly Shonen Magazine in June 2018 and is still ongoing.
The series has currently been collected in six tankobon volumes.
The series follows Shiki Granbell in his starship Edens Zero as he searches the galaxy for the cosmic goddess “Mother.”
