Avengers: Endgame Runtime Officially Revealed
The Avengers: Endgame runtime has officially been revealed.
Our source sent us an email that revealed The Avengers: Endgame runtime will be 182 minutes. That’s over three hours!
This shouldn’t really be a surprise. In an interview with Collider in February, Joe Russo said the movie would be around the three-hour mark, “We’re still at the three-hour mark.”
Russo would note that Disney was “down” for the three hour time frame:
“I think the studio is down with what the best story is. Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is. We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it. Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies, it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate.”
Anthony Russo would add, “We have screened the movie four times for audiences now. For the first three screenings, not a single person got up to go to the bathroom.”
Along with the official run time being revealed, the email from our source also indicates tickets for Avengers: Endgame will go on sale on April 2nd at 5:00 AM PDT and 8:00 AM EDT.
The first showings for the movie will be on April 25th at 6 PM local time. The movie will be rated PG-13 and it will be shown in Scope with 2D, 3D, IMAX 2D & 3D, PLF, D-Box, and 4D options.
