Ben Affleck Reveals His Time On The Set Of The Flash Made Playing Batman Fun Again
It’s official – nobody had a good time working under Joss Whedon during the reshoots for Justice League. Not Ray Fisher, not Gal Gadot, not Jason Momoa, and especially not Ben Affleck.
After the trainwreck recut of Snyder’s original vision was released, Affleck’s demons caught up with him to the point where he briefly quit playing heroics all together. Yet, thankfully, The Snyder Cut was eventually released and compensated for Whedon’s mess.
Now, the Batman actor has revealed that his time filming The Flash, which will see his return to the cape and cowl for perhaps the last time, has made him consider his time on the set of the Scarlet Speedster’s solo outing to be as enjoyable as that which he spent on Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

In a recent interview with Variety, he doesn’t just praise what’s going on with The Flash, but also recounts that the experience was fun and “lovely.”
“It was a really nice way to revisit that as the prior experience [on Justice League] had been difficult,” he said. “[The Flash] was really lovely. Really fun… I had a great time…”
Affleck then remarked that he is making comments that could come back to bite him legally, adding, “I’m probably under some gag order that I’m not even aware that I probably just violated and I’m now going to be sued.”
Affleck also noted that reuniniting with both Ezra Miller and Jason Momoa, who was in the middle of filming the next Aquaman, was a part of that pleasant experience.
“I love Ezra and I had a chance to see Jason [Momoa], who’s over there making ‘Aquaman [and the Lost Kingdom],” he told the trade news outlet.
Momoa may have been working on the sequel to his own adventure, but this mention by Affleck could suggest that he may cameo in The Flash alongside so many other Leaguers.
However, while Momoa will be sticking around the DCEU for at least a little while longer, we can’t say the same for Affleck, as his lack of confirmed film plans could hint that he may be erased by The Flash movie’s promised Flashpoint reversal of the Multiverse timeline.
That would make his upcoming reunion with his former castmates more of a farewell than anything else, but we likely won’t know anything about Affleck’s Bat-future until The Flash reveals the new direction for DC Films when it drops in November of 2022.
