Captain Marvel Fans Upset Brie Larson Wears Makeup in Avengers: Endgame Trailer!
A number of Captain Marvel fans are upset that Brie Larson’s character is wearing makeup in the new Avengers: Endgame trailer.
Following the first weekend of Captain Marvel out in theaters, Marvel releaed a new Avengers: Endgame trailer that features Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel interacting with the Avengers. A number of fans took issue with the fact that Larson’s Carol Danvers is wearing different make up in the trailer compared to her appearance in Captain Marvel.
These fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure about Larson’s new Captain Marvel look for Avengers: Endgame, which takes place nearly 30 years after Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s continuity.
Why is #CaptainMarvel wearing red lipstick and a full face of makeup in that #AvengersEndgame trailer? Carol hasn’t been to Earth since the ’90s! You think Nat gave her free range on her closet / makeup? You think Carol cares about fashion during imminent battle?

The arguments being made appear to be similar to ones made criticizing Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman back in March of 2017. After the release of a new Wonder Woman trailer many criticized the fact that Gadot’s Wonder Woman had shaven armpits. Slate writer Melissa Martinelli even wrote an entire article lamenting the idea that Diana Prince and the Amazons had shaven armpits.
