Lady Sif Actress Jamie Alexander Volunteers to Be Valkyrie’s Queen in Thor: Love and Thunder
Actress Jamie Alexander, who portrays Lady Sif in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, volunteered to be Valkyrie’s queen in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder film.
Alexander took to Twitter, where she responded to an IGN tweet describing eight characters who could be Valkyrie’s upcoming queen in Thor: Love and Thunder.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige had previously indicated that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will be the new king of Asgard and that she needs to find a new queen, “As new king, she needs to find her queen.” He added, “That will be her first order of business. She has some ideas. Keep you posted.”
Alexander has been absent from the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time. Her last film appearance as Lady Sif was in Thor: The Dark World. She would appear in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for a total of two episodes in both Season 1 and Season 2.
She did not reprise her role in Thor: Ragnarok and noted the reason was a scheduling conflict with her TV series Blindspot. She told Yahoo!, “I was asked, but the timing of when they were going to shoot and when Blindspot was gonna shoot â it was pretty much the same time. So there was a conflict.” She added, “I was hoping for more of a notice from [the studio] so I could make it work, but it was a short notice thing. They called and said, âHey, by the way, would you come do this?â I said there is no way I can make that work that fast.” She did indicate she tried to make it happen, but noted, “It couldn’t happen. They were on a different continent! So it was sad. I was bummed about it.”
If Marvel does decide to make Lady Sif Valkyrie’s new queen it would be a major change from the comic book version of Sif. Sif is normally portrayed showing affection for Thor and other male characters who can wield Mjolnir such as Beta Ray Bill and Eric Masterson.
In fact, in one of her first appearances in Marvel Comics in The Mighty Thor #136, Sif confesses her “hopeless love” for the god of thunder.
What do you make of Alexander volunteering to be Valkyrie’s queen in Thor: Love and Thunder?
