Leaked Image Reveals Secret of Wonder Woman 1984 Post-Credit Scene
Wonder Woman 1984 has experienced its share of leaks spoiling everything since CCXP a year ago, and spoilers continue to roll out between reviews and the theaters it’s playing in internationally.
Due to this, we’ve confirmed how Steve Trevor returns and how much of a resemblance Maxwell Lord has to Donald Trump. Patty Jenkins just can’t keep any more of the film’s secrets, not even the ones she’d like to leave a surprise.

WW84’s clandestine post-credit scene is the latest reveal, ruining Jenkins’ stated demand of “let that be something to save for the audience” during a roundtable with CinemaBlend.
She said further, “God forbid, somebody writes about it, you’re like, ‘Well, then what fun was it? You know, now we should have just attached it to the end of the movie!’”

God may have forbidden it but that didn’t stop someone from writing about it or seeing it. Moviegoers overseas found out what exactly is in the scene which ComicBookMovie.com says is a mid-credit stinger.
The payoff of the brief stinger is nothing less than a cameo by original Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter as a new character. Carter plays a Themysciran warrior named Asteria and she was the previous owner of the Golden Eagle armor worn by Gal Gadot and flaunted in posters and stills for the past year.

In the scene, CBM explains Asteria saves someone and remarks she’s “been doing this all this time” before winking at the audience. Carter may have a future in the DCEU as this character, especially in Wonder Woman 3; but for now, it seems like nothing more than an amusing nod to her time as the Amazon.
An image and amateur footage showing Carter’s cameo supposedly came with the spoiler. It seems Warner Bros. acted swiftly and pulled it all from the web. Although you can still find it out there as seen on Twitter below.

There were rumors Lynda Carter was in talks for a guest appearance in WW84 and they turn out to be well-founded. More recent speculation hints at a cameo in The Flash but as an alternate Earth’s Wonder Woman. That possibility seems more likely now.
