Marvel Releases 10 Years of Marvel and IMAX Trailer in Preparation for Avengers: Infinity War

Thanos

Marvel Entertainment and IMAX released a brand new trailer with footage recapping the past 10 years of Marvel Studios films shot with IMAX. The footage includes clips from Iron Man 2, The Avengers, Black Panther, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Captain America: Civil War, and more.

For the most part the trailer promotes IMAX with a number of sound bytes from a ton of the actors and actresses who make the Marvel Cinematic Universe films so enjoyable.

Towards the end of the trailer we get some footage of Avengers: Infinity War when Chris Evans who plays Captain America says, “A lot of superheroes coming together. It’s dramatic and it’s powerful.” We see Thanos clutch his fist with the Infinity Gauntlet and then the clip switches to him just pounding Iron Man like he’s just a can of empty soup. The trailer then shifts to Captain America getting rocked by an explosion. However, that appears to be from Captain America: Civil War as his suit still has the bright white star on it. We’ve seen in both the trailer and photos Captain America’s new outfit in Avengers: Infinity War shows the star blacked out. However, it’s possible this could be a scene from the beginning of the film and his white star hasn’t been tarnished yet.

There’s then a shot of Bucky Barnes, now going by White Wolf, getting ready to go to war with the Wakandans at his side. We get a shot of Black Widow in what appears to be a restaurant with her electrical sticks at the ready. But she too has her red hair so it’s possible that might be from a previous film. Although like Captain America it might be before she decides to dye it for Avengers: Infinity War.

The trailer concludes with Thanos exiting the portal as we saw in the first Avengers: Infinity War trailer and Captain America leading Black Panther, Okoye, Bucky Barnes, Black Widow, Hulk, War Machine and the Wakandan army into battle.

The trailer definitely got me hyped and excited for Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War comes to theaters on April 27, 2018.
