Rumor: Ghost Rider To Arrive In The Marvel Cinematic Universe With Blade Film
A new rumor details that Ghost Rider will be arriving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe courtesy of the announced Blade film.
This new rumor comes from Mikey Sutton and his newly launched Geekosity Mag website. It was first revealed on the YouTube channel Lords of the Long Box.
Not only does Sutton reveal that Ghost Rider will arrive in the MCU via the Blade film, but he also details that the Midnight Sons will be arriving in a second Blade film.

Sutton details, “It’s been revealed to me that the Midnight Sons are being positioned to form in Blade 2, with the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider discussed to cameo in the first movie.”
He would go on to detail that the Midnight Sons team will consist of Blade, Ghost Rider, Jennifer Kale, Man-Thing, Werewolf by Night, and Nadeen Hassan aka Glyph.
Sutton does note that the team could be tweaked as it appears it already has been. He makes note that he had previously reported that the Punisher might be part of the team.
Sutton wrote, “Without any filmmakers attached, the line-up could be tweaked so this isn’t final by any means as the Punisher was also previously discussed.”

In the 2018 Doctor Strange: Damnation miniseries the Midnight Sons team was formed by Wong. The team consisted of Blade, Moon Knight, Iron Fist, Brother Voodoo, Man-Thing, Elsa Bloodstone, Johnny Blaze, and The Scarlet Spider.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of the Midnight Sons showing up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Back in May, Sutton detailed that Marvel was looking at creating a Midnight Sons team that could possibly include Daredevil, Moon Knight, the Punisher, and Ghost Rider.

Sutton wrote at the time, “There are no plans for Daredevil to join the Avengers, tho. Marvel Knights? Close. They have talked about Daredevil joining forces with Moon Knight, the Punisher, and Ghost Rider, among others, in the Midnight Sons.”
He did add the caveat, “It’s gradually developing so stay tuned for further updates. For now, The Man Without Fear will be back, and he won’t be alone.”
One of the main members and is a founding member in the comic books is Ghost Rider and there does appear to be interest in the character at Marvel Studios.

A separate rumor in May, this one from The Direct and their contributing insider Daniel Richtman claimed that Marvel Studios was developing a Ghost Rider project.
No real details about the project were revealed at the time and it was unclear if it would be a series or a film, but The Direct’s Pete Hernandez speculated the project would feature Johnny Blaze.
Marvel TV was adapting Ghost Rider for Hulu. That series was expected to see Gabriel Luna reprise his role as the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider. The series would eventually be cancelled in September 2019 with the reason given being a “creative impasse.”
