Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Cast React To End of Film
The cast of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker alongside director J.J. Abrams provided their reactions to the ending of the film.
During a live Q&A at Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland, the cast and Abrams were asked to give their reaction to the end of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker without using any words.
And no one seemed excited about the ending. In fact, C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels asks, “How does it end?” He then adds, “After 40 years this is it?”
While Daniels seemed to be the only one confused about the ending, the facial reactions for the rest of the cast speak volumes.
Keri Russell uses her hands to make tears coming down her face. Kelly Marie Tran looks horrified or maybe disgusted.
Daisy Ridley’s expression exudes cringe, and she might be thankful the ride has finally come to an end.
Naomi Ackie’s reaction is rather odd and got quite a few laughs from the rest of the cast. She appears to be opening her mouth and taking in some deep breaths possibly indicating something heavy happens at the end of the film.
Oscar Isaac doesn’t seem very impressed as he purses his lips together.
John Boyega looks down and clasps his hand together. He looks rather solemn and could possibly be attending a wake.

Maybe the most interesting reaction is J.J. Abrams. He actually checks out everyone else’s reaction instead of giving his own reaction.
Here’s a better look at their reactions although it doesn’t capture Keri Russell’s hand tears.
These reactions are very reminiscent of what we saw leading up to the final season of Game of Thrones from Emilia Clarke and Kit Harrington.

Harrington initially described the season finale to Season 8 of Game of Thrones as “disappointing” before he corrected himself and stated, “No, epic. I don’t know. One of those ones.”
Clarke also gave an awkward smile to an interviewer and then sarcastically states, “Best season ever!” when she is asked if she’s happy about the final season of Game of Thrones.
And we all know how Game of Thrones Season 8 turned out.
If these facial reactions foretell what is to come for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker it doesn’t look good.
What do you make of these reactions?
