While there is no specific reason actually stated other than that people around the world will not be able to view the film, the implication the nearly year delay is due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on May 22, 2020.
It stars Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Helen Mirren, Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black, Jordana Brewster, Michael Rucker, Sung Kang, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.
The film is directed by Justin Lin with a script written by Daniel Casey.
What do you make of this nearly year delay?
