First Wheel Of Time Official Teaser Trailer Is Here, Release Date Announced
Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television released the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming The Wheel of Time series.

Along with this first official teaser trailer they released a brand new poster for the series featuring Rosamund Pike’s Moiraine Damodred.
Amazon’s Wheel of Time is based off the popular fantasy series written by Robert Jordan and concluded by Brandon Sanderson following Jordan’s death.
Jordan’s The Wheel of Time includes 15 total books albeit one of them, New Spring, is a prequel. The original book in the series The Eye of the World was first published in January 1990 while the final book in the series, A Memory of Light, was completed by Sanderson and published in January 2013. It takes over 19 days to listen to the entire series.

In a press release Amazon explains the show is “set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it.”
They add that “the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.”
As part of their press release, Amazon announced the show will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on November 19, 2021.
Specifically, the first three episodes of Season One will arrive on November 19th.
After the first three episodes air on the 19th, new episodes will air each Friday leading up to the season finale which will take place on December 24th.

The series is adapted for television by executive producer and showrunner Rafe Judkins. Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of iwot productions, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Mike Weber, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz are also executive producers. Briesewitz also directed the first two episodes.
Pike is also producer. Hariet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson are consulting producers. The show is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
A second season for the show has already been announced.
