New ‘Justice League Action’ Series Announced at Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network has announced a new Justice League animated series, Justice League Action.
The new show will operate much like Cartoon Network’s current series Teen Titans Go! with installments of 11-minute episodes. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy will reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker which they made famous in Batman: The Animated Series. The series will also star James Woods as Lex Luthor and Diedrich Bader as Booster Gold. Both are also familiar with DC characters with Woods voicing Owlman in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths and Bader voicing Batman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
The show will star Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman as they lead DC Comics Super Heroes against their most infamous foes in adventures packed with relentless thrills, fun and action. The 11-minute episodes will showcase lightning-paced action and heroics. The heroes will find themselves in a number of different situations including defending Earth, facing down space invaders, and battling bizarre forces of magic. The Justice League heroes will always be up to the challenge with a rotating roster.
Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register is the executive producer of Justice League Action. He will be working alongside Butch Lukic, Alan Burnett, and Jim Kreig who are all producers for the show. A premiere date has not yet been released for the show.
Which characters are you looking forward to seeing in the new show? The poster hints at a number of different heroes and villains. The heroes include Shazam, Green Arrow, Hawkman, Blue Beetle, Flash, and Plastic Man. While some of the villains include Darkseid and Killer Frost.
As for me, I’me hoping we get to see the Question and Huntress as heroes with Amanda Waller figuring prominently as a villain.
