Supergirl Spinoff Superman & Lois Officially Greenlit by The CW
Arrow is done after this season but CW’s Arrowverse is far from falling apart at the seams. With spinoffs beckoning, it only looks like it is gaining strength and one more show is getting added – one talked about for months now.
News coming from Variety states the in-development Superman & Lois is now ordered to series by The CW. A rumor at first, the project and a pilot were announced in October.

Starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch, who play the Superman and Lois Lane of Supergirl’s world, the series is a spinoff of Supergirl.
Hoechlin put on the cape for the first time in Season 2 when the former CBS drama jumped to The CW after several teases of Kara’s cousin in the prior season. Elizabeth Tulloch was cast as Lois in the Elseworlds crossover and stuck around. She has guest-starred on Supergirl episodes with Hoechlin and is a player in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
Superman and Lois “will follow the world’s most famous superhero and comic books’ most famous journalist as they deal with all the stress, pressures, and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society,” says Variety.

In other words, we might see more of Lois and Clark’s kids which has been a polarizing concept since Superman Returns and Clark’s super-strong urchin pushing a piano into a thug like it’s nothing. We were introduced to their son Jonathan in Crisis, but he was too small to do any damage.
Coming soon also to the expanding Arrowverse is the backdoor pilot for the Arrow spinoff Green Arrow and the Canaries starring Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy Rodgers, and Juliana Harkavy. It airs Jan. 21st but isn’t ordered to series yet – if it ever will be.
The CW is not pulling back on its superhero slate one bit. Despite declining ratings, the network renewed Batwoman, Supergirl, and the rest of the DC lineup. This decision came as a shock but they’re also ordering the Superman/Lois series before a pilot is filmed which isn’t normal.
