WCW Legend Goldberg To Guest-Star On The Flash

WCW icon Goldberg is the latest pro wrestler to be cast in a show on The CW. According to an insider Instagram account, Goldberg will have a guest role on “The Flash.”

Goldberg later confirmed the news on Twitter – and revealed that he’ll actually be appearing in not one episode, but two.

Goldberg clearly loves his son. In 2016 he made a monumental return to WWE so that his 11-year-old son, Gage, could see him wrestle. Presumably Gage is also a fan of The Flash.

It’s as yet unclear what character Goldberg will portray, but if his casting follows the trend of other wrestlers who have appeared in the “Arrowverse,” he’ll likely play a villain. Previously, 11-time WWE world champion Adam “Edge” Copeland portrayed Al Rothstein/Atom Smasher on The Flash, and 3-time WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres portrayed Maxima on Supergirl. Former WWE Superstar and current Ring of Honor Champion Cody Rhodes also played Derek Sampson on two episodes of Arrow.

This won’t be Goldberg’s first foray into acting. He co-starred in 1999’s Universal Soldier: The Return, as well as the 2005 remake of The Longest Yard. More recently, he appropriately appeared on the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs.

A number of Goldberg and The Flash fans are already getting pumped to see him on The CW superhero show!

Barry Allen might be the hero, but fans are already looking for Goldberg to play the villain. Barry better watch out for The Spear.

Goldberg isn’t the only one joining The Flash for Season 4. The CW recently cast Kendrick Sampson to play the dangerous villain Brainstorm. It looks like Barry will be faced with both brains and brawn in the second half of Season 4.
