Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana Respond to James Gunn’s Firing
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana responded to Disney’s firing of James Gunn, and accusations that Gunn was “promoting child rape” with his Tweets.
Pratt, who plays Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to Twitter and posted a Bible verse from the book of James.
“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters. Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.”

Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora, also took to Twitter.
It’s been a challenging weekend I’m not gonna lie. I’m pausing myself to take everything in before I speak out of term. I just want everyone to know I love ALL members of my GOTG family. Always will.

Both Pratt and Saldana have similar messages in wait and listen. And to be honest those messages make quite a bit of sense. Mike Cernovich, who was instrumental in bringing to light a number of Gunn’s old tweets referencing “pedophilia” and “child rape,” has intimated he will be pushing out a campaign for folks to contact their Congressmen in order to open up an investigation into not only Gunn, but the whole of Hollywood.
Cernovich made it clear on Twitter when he wrote:
“I want to clear something up about the James Gunn matter.
He wrote stuff about children, he works around children.
Gunn wasn’t about me proving the New Rules of exposing hypocrisy. This is about the children in Hollywood.
Republicans refuse to hold hearings into Hollywood casting couch practices. Democrats won’t stand up to Hollywood. It’s time for them to do this.
Starting tomorrow we will be contacting members of Congress to demand they hold hearings into Hollywood casting couch and child grooming practices.”

If a Congressional investigation is opened up and more information about Gunn’s behavior is brought to light, it would not look good on either of them for coming to his defense like their fellow cast member Dave Bautista did in his initial response to the firing.

The wait and listen approach also resonates with one of our country’s founding principles, innocent until proven guilty. While Gunn’s tweets are extremely sickening and I believe should definitely be investigated, he should still be considered until proven guilty in a court of law. His tweets might be sickening, but they don’t appear to have broken any laws.
