Police Investigate Stan Lee’s Home After Alleged Battery!
The Los Angeles Police Department arrived at Stan Lee’s home on Thursday to investigate a “battery” allegation.
The Daily Mail reports the LAPD arrived at Stan Lee’s home at 2 pm PT. Along with LAPD, Adult Protective Services were on the scene. Adult Protective Services aims “to help elder adults (65 years and older) and dependent adults (18-64 who are disabled), when these adults are unable to meet their own needs, or are victims of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.”
An LAPD spokesperson reported, “There’s a battery investigation at the 9100 block of Oriole Way, it’s still ongoing. We have three units there.”
There aren’t weren’t any other details including a suspect or victim. However, The Daily Mail believes Stan Lee’s longtime bodyguard and road manager Max Anderson may be the subject of the investigation.
They captured a number of photos of both Max Anderson and his lawyer Tom Lallas outside of Lee’s home talking with police. Lallas is also a lawyer for Stan Lee.
Stan has been in the news quite a bit the past few months. Most recently, he was rushed to the hospital. He was also the victim of fraud. Lee reported $300,000 was stolen from him via a fraudulent check. To add on to that he discovered someone stole $850,000 from him to purchase a condo.
Lee has also been accused of groping a number of nurses who were employed by him.
Lee categorically denied the allegations in a statement through his lawyer:
Mr. Lee categorically denies these false and despicable allegations and he fully intends to fight to protect his stellar good name and impeccable character. We are not aware of anyone filing a civil action, or reporting these issues to the police, which for any genuine claim would be the more appropriate way for it to be handled. Instead, Mr. Lee has received demands to pay money and threats that if he does not do so, the accuser will go to the media. Mr Lee will not be extorted or blackmailed, and will pay no money to anyone because he has done absolutely nothing wrong.
Stan Lee, Max Anderson, or Tom Lallas have not made an official statement regarding the LAPD’s investigation.
