The Hawaii Police Department describes the 29-year-old actor as an alleged disorderly bar patron who police determined was agitated and unruly while other patrons sang karaoke at the bar.
According to the report Miller had begun “yelling obscenities” and then grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke. Later during the incident, he also lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts. The bar’s owner reportedly tried to calm Ezra down but to no avail which lead to the police being called to the scene.
Miller was arrested and later released on $500 bail, Miller’s reps have yet to comment on the incident.
The Hawaii Police Department specifically posted to Facebook about the incident writing, “Shortly after midnight on Monday, March 28, 2022, a 29-year-old man visiting from Vermont was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct and harassment after an incident at a bar in Hilo.”
“On Sunday, March 27, at 11:30 p.m., South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of disorderly patron at a bar on Silva Street. During the course of their investigation, police determined that the man, later identified as Ezra Miller, became agitated while patrons at the bar began singing karaoke,” their post states.
It continues, “Miller began yelling obscenities and at one point grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense). The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail.”
“Miller was arrested and charged on both offenses and total bail was set at $500. He provided the bail and was released,” their post concluded.

This is not the first time that the Flash star has had a bizarre run-in with the law.
In 2020, Miller was caught in a firestorm when a video of him choking and wrestling a woman to the ground in Iceland went viral. The serious altercation led to Miller being escorted off the premises by staff but he was not charged for the incident.
Earlier this year, Miller posted a bizarre video on Instagram where he threatens to kill members of a North Carolina Ku Klux Klan chapter.
In the video, he says, “Hi, this is Ezra Miller a.k.a the Bengal Ghouls, the Mad Goose Wizard, and this is a message for the Beulaville chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan.”
“Hello, first of all, how are y’all doing? It’s me. Look, if y’all want to die, I suggest just killing yourselves with your own guns. Okay,” he stated.
Miller then threatened to kill them, “Otherwise, keep doing exactly what you are doing right now. And you know what I am talking about. And then, you know, we’ll do it for you if that’s really what you want. Okay.”
“Talk you to soon, okay. Byeeeee,” he concluded.
As of this writing, Miller is slated to star in the Warner Bros film “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” alongside Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, and Mads Mikkelsen. That film is set for an April 15th release.
He is also expected to star in the long-awaited Flash solo movie, “The Flash” which has been in development hell for years but is expected to be released in theaters on June 23, 2023.
Warner Bros has also yet to comment on Miller’s arrest.
