Final Fantasy VII Remake To Remain Exclusive Title for PlayStation 4
Despite rumors to the contrary, Square Enix says that the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake will not be on all platforms.
In a recent statement to IGN, Square Enix stated, “As previously announced, Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released for the PlayStation 4 on March 3rd, 2020. We have no plans for other platforms.”
This statement comes in response to an errant Facebook post by Xbox Germany, that indicated the game would be available for Xbox One on release.
The post has since been deleted, and Xbox Germany has apologized for any confusion the post may have caused.
..so Xbox Germany apparently posted a video on their Facebook page, announcing Final Fantasy VII Remake for Xbox One on March 3, 2020 pic.twitter.com/W4CgqsOvC5

Hey. We did an internal mistake in the Social Team. We took the video off immediately. Sorry, no announcement on our side. Big apologies for this.

When the original Final Fantasy VII got a multi-platform port in March 2019, many gamers were hopeful that the remake would get the same treatment.
It appears that for now, Playstation 4 users will be the only ones rolling with Cloud and company in their shiny new looks.
What do you guys think? Will this help or hurt Final Fantasy VII Remake and Square Enix?
