Netmarble Announces The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross Will Arrive Globally in 2020
Netmarble announced they will be bringing their mobile game, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, to global audiences.
According to Netmarble, the game, which was made in partnership with Kodansha, became the #1 app in the Japanese App Store, and they are now bringing it to worldwide audiences.
Netmarble’s Executive Producer Young Jae Park stated, “It is an honor to be a part of brand’s history of The Seven Deadly Sins franchise that made global success with the upcoming launch of The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross. The game made the initial success with taking the #1 spot in the App Store and Google Play charts in Japan, and we are eager to see how fans across the globe take to traveling with Meliodas and his team when we launch the game this year.”
The game is based off the acclaimed The Seven Deadly Sins franchise originally created as a manga by Nakaba Suzuki. The franchise would eventually be adapted into a an anime series with the first episode premiering in Japan on October 5, 2014.
Like the anime and the manga before it, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross will follow the story of Meliodas, the captain of The Seven Deadly Sins.
The game features over 100 dramatic cut scenes as well as the cast of the original Japanese voice actors reprising their roles.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross will allow players to collect their favorite The Seven Deadly Sins characters to form their own team in a unique card-based combat system.
Confirmed characters upon launch will be Diane, Ban, King, Elizabeth & Hawke, and Meliodas.
This unique system encourages players to combine cards and characters to activate special moves.
The game also features unique costumes including original outfits found only within the game. It also features an affection system, cooking, and more.
There will be both co-op and PvP modes.

Players can already pre-register for the game either through the App Store or on Google Play.
There will be pre-registration rewards. They include:
- 1x Meliodas in-game character, the main hero of The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross
- 1x in-game costume and weapon for Meliodas
- 30 Diamonds (The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross’ premium currency, 10 Draws value)
- 100,000 Gold (The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross’s in-game currency)
- An exclusive box that offers in-game items, including a special costume for Elizabeth, a the main heroine of The Seven Deadly Sins
A specific release date for the game has not been announced, but Netmarble does indicate it will arrive sometime in 2020 for both the App Store and Google Play.
