Vandal Savage, an immortal conqueror in control of a massive army, has come to take over Earth and the only people standing in his way are the DC Legends consisting of the Arrow, the Flash, Hawkgirl, White Canary, Captain Cold, Heatwave, The Atom, and Firestorm. Bringing this team together is Rip Hunter, a member of the Time Masters, an organization whose mission is to protect history.

Cast members from The CW’s The Flash and Arrow will reprise their respective roles. There is plenty of action to go around, as well as the witty and somewhat quirky humor we have come to expect from Ray Parker. But the biggest reveal is The Atom finally unveils his ability to shrink much to the surprise of White Canary and Firestorm. (Take that Antman!)

It is unclear how the show will fit into the continuity of the current The Flash and Arrow although it does hint at potential time travel which has the possibility of alternate dimensions instead.

We have already seen glimpses of how the characters work together, but having the Arrow work with Captain Cold and Heatwave will be interesting to say the least. Even Barry Allen’s cooperation with these “legends” will be tested after this weeks latest episode of The Flash.

Needless to say, I am excited to see the DC Universe expand their footprint. With the introduction of Hawkgirl more and more Justice League characters are making their way onto the television screen or lets be honest our computer and ipad screens.
