Last week, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds treated us to the first ever photos of Zazie Beetz’s Domino. This week he’s making our Mondays a lot more fun with our first ever photo of Josh Brolin’s Cable.

Reynolds describes Cable as “that one grumpy, heavily armed Uncle from the future. #PremiumCABLE.”

Unlike Zazie Beetz’s Domino, Josh Brolin’s Cable looks like he literally jumped out of the comic.

He’s got the silver hair, the star-shaped scar, and of course the iconic glowing left eye.

But soon after Reynold’s tweet, Deadpool and Cable creator Rob Liefeld gave us an even better look at Cable’s upper torso (Note his feet are missing).

Here we get a look at Cable’s robotic arm as well as some extremely high-powered weaponry. I mean just look at the size of those shells on his chest!

This shot of Cable also shows off a teddy bear. You might be thinking that it’s completely out of place for this heavily armed mutant. However, as Marvel comics readers know Cable acts as the surrogate father for Hope Summers. This teddy bear could very well hint that Hope Summers will play a role in the upcoming Deadpool 2 film.

Moments later Ryan Reynolds also gave us an identical look at Cable.

However, Liefeld followed up his original instagram post with another featuring Cable and Deadpool.

Everything is coming up #CABLE!!! almost. #Deadpool #marvel #xforce #robliefeld

He then gave us a side-by-side shot of comics Cable and Brolin Cable.

The textbook definition of NAILED IT!!! #CABLE #joshbrolin #deadpool #xforce #ryanreynolds #marvel #robliefeld
