It’s been a great weekend for Marvel fans. The Defenders went live on Friday on Netflix, and now Marvel and Netflix released a photo of Jon Bernthal in full Punisher costume. Check it out below!

Frank Castle in full costume

You can see he’s dirty, determined, and wearing the skull that has sent chills down the spines of countless bad guys. The Punisher looks like he’s ready for war. Combine this with the teaser trailer that was released last week and things are looking up for the first season of The Punisher.

It’s a significant change from the outfit we last saw the Punisher wearing at the end of Season 2 of Daredevil. In Daredevil Season 2 the Punisher logo takes up the entire shirt going all the way to the neckline.

I will say Jon Bernthal’s take on the Punisher has been impressive. And it’s great to see him in full gear looking as menacing as can be.

A former Marine, Frank Castle, was a family man until the murder of his family during a botched police operation. One which was intended to bring down a notorious weapons dealer known as Blacksmith. That operation cost Frank his family, the one thing that kept him centered. Without them, Frank went on the warpath to claim the lives of those he felt responsible for their untimely demise.

After that day Frank saw the world in a whole new light. One which fans got to see in one of the most iconic scenes in Season 2 of Daredevil as Daredevil and Punisher debated the philosophical ramifications of their beliefs.
