X-Men Spin-Off The New Mutants Drops Horror-Filled First Trailer

New Mutants

I never knew Pink Floyd could be so terribly creepy. The rock anthem turned into a horror-filled theme is definitely going to give me nightmares. But it’s not just the song that has me freaked out. The new trailer for Fox’s X-Men spin-off The New Mutants is filled to the brim with horror. If the movie is anything as frightening as this trailer it will be a runaway hit.

The trailer opens up with the camera slowly panning forward in an empty hallway. It then quickly transitions into a graveyard. While all of this is happening we get Alice Braga’s Dr. Cecilia Reyes’ voice-over asking a young girl a series of seemingly harmless questions. But the way the questions are delivered combined with Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” sent shivers down my spine.

The premise of the trailer looks really interesting. You take Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters and turn it upside down. You take this place of hope, love, and family and turn it around into a place of fear, terror, and utter madness.
