It’s been one heck of a journey so far for Marvel Studios. Almost ten years later and 17 movies since Iron Man first dazzled us, the franchise is still going strong. While other studios have tried to mimic the formula it’s easy to say that so far none have matched the success of Marvel Studios.

You might think with so much covered, that things might be starting to slow down, especially with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 just around the corner. That’s not the case at all. According to Kevin Feige who spoke with Vanity Fair for their upcoming Holiday Issue, Marvel Studios is not slowing down any time soon. In fact, he revealed that they currently have five movies in some stage of production right now and a mind-blowing 20 lined up just looking to see the light of day.

Feige went on to say that Marvel Studios was “22 movies in, and we’ve got another 20 movies on the docket that are completely different from anything we’ve done before – intentionally.”

This is no real surprise since Disney has made it clear that currently, they have plenty of stories to explore. According to the company, Marvel has at the minimum another 20 years of movies and characters to explore. Of course, they’re not going into details about what those stories could be although we know we will see the Skrulls and Kree in Captain Marvel. It’s not a surprise Disney isn’t ready to part with the Marvel Cinematic Universe quite yet.

With Thor: Ragnarok coming to theaters a few weeks ago, Black Panther only a few short months away, Ant-Man and The Wasp wrapping up production, and Avengers: Infinity War just around the corner it’s easy to see that Marvel is just getting ready for the next round.

But that next round will be very different from what we’ve seen so far at least according to Feige.  Feige declared that Avengers 4 will “bring things you’ve never seen in superhero films: a finale.” However, Kevin Feige went on to say, “There will be two distinct periods. Everything, before Avengers 4 and everything after. I know it will not be in ways people are expecting.”

Tell us, what do you think? Are you excited at the prospect of another 20 plus movies coming from Marvel Studios? Or are you concerned that at some point that magic might run out? Le us know in the comments below!
