Fans Want C.B. Cebulski to Clean House at Marvel Comics
C.B. Cebulski has got some big work cut out for him at Marvel. The newly minted Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief faced a significant challenge on his first day as many claimed he used Yellow Face and called him a racist because he wrote under the Japanese pseudonym of Akira Yoshida. He faced first hand the outrage of Social Justice Warriors. And now a prominent YouTuber, Diversity & Comics, and his growing following is calling for C.B. Cebulski to clean house at Marvel Comics.
It’s been no secret that over the last few years Marvel has slowly tried to lure Social Justice Warriors to their readership. It hasn’t worked out so well. In a stunning moment, Marvel’s Vice President of Print, Sales, and Marketing David Gabriel revealed, “people didn’t want any more diversity. They didn’t want female characters out there. That’s what we heard, whether we believe that or not.” He even added, “We saw the sales of any character that was diverse, any character that was new, our female characters, anything that was not a core Marvel character, people were turning their nose up against.” However, he would later issue a retraction. “We are proud and excited to keep introducing unique characters that reflect new voices and new experiences into the Marvel Universe and pair them with our iconic heroes.”
Then just before Marvel brought in Cebulski, they launched their new Legacy publishing initiative which aimed to bring back their core characters while also keeping the new faces. The jury is still out on whether it will be a success or not.
However, while Marvel tempted to attract Social Justice Warriors to buy and read their books, they also began to attract creatives who exhibited the same Social Justice Warrior behavior. With Marvel making a big decision at the top of their editorial, Diversity & Comics is hoping Cebulski will clean house in their creative department as well. He’s hoping Cebulski will set a new tone for the company and begin treating their fans with respect instead of talking down and degrading them or even labeling them as pedophiles.
Take a listen:
“So I stand by that statement, if anyone disagrees with me about general empathy of humanism so deeply that they cAnt take my “SJV” views- those people can feast upon my ass” -Max Bemis. Having a writer tell fans to eat his ass is an amazing way to bridge the gap between fans and creators.
Diversity & Comics made a good point, “We just want two things, do good issues and don’t call us Nazis.“ I have to agree one hundred percent. Fans aren’t looking to take over Marvel or any other publisher. I mean I don’t want to head Marvel or have to babysit writers. We also won’t just stay silent and say nothing when creators are actively hostile towards the fanbase and produce subpar work.
D &C also points out why the fans are important, “We’re not just fans, we’re people paying your rent.“ This idea is something that has been forgotten across the entertainment industry. When we buy comics we trade our hard-earned money for a piece of entertainment. That money is then used to pay the creators. We essentially pay their rent. Our patronage, our willingness to hand over our money for their content is what keeps them in business. And one thing I learned growing up is you NEVER bite the hand that feeds you. Having contempt for those who your livelihood depends on is a great way of going out of business. And if comic sales for certain titles are any hint, fans aren’t going to be bullied into buying crap, from crap people.
Are the Stars Aligning?
Marvel isn’t the only comic book company with SJW creatives who have attacked long-time fans of their work. IDW Publishing canceled their upcoming G.I. JOE book after fans refused to purchase it following a disgusting 9/11 Tweet from writer Aubrey Sitterson. Many believe the comic book industry might be realizing the mistake they made letting the Social Justice Warriors into the front door. However, there is still a lot of work to do, and the SJWs have become increasingly entrenched in the industry. Marvel will need time before writers in the company either knock off their propaganda peddling or they get let go. It’s going to be a process and it won’t happen overnight.
Even now current writers such as Gabby Rivera are railing against cis white males. The latest boogyman. If you were to replace white with any other ethnicity, she’d rightly be ripped apart in the social sense for her ignorant views.
anyone else feeling triggered af at the mere sight/presence of white dudes, solo, but esp in groups? the panic & threat level is too real

I wouldn’t put all my faith in the basket just yet. If you expect the SJW’s to just roll over and admit defeat, then I have some bad news. We know that they have no intention of letting go of their stranglehold over our entertainment mediums. These mediums are more valuable than just making money. They influence culture in a way that has repercussions that last decades. Fortunately, there are still some who have stood their ground against SJWs.
And this is your failure of logic. SJWs stand for inequality, where they are superior to any one else hence my use of Misandry and Snowflake https://t.co/8uBGuFFM7a

It’s no surprise that legions of SJW’s flock to Twitter to admonish the actor for not being on “their side.” The war for the fate of Entertainment has only just begun and C.B. Cebulski is just one battle in the long war.
