Graphic artist Boss Logic is back at it. He’s mocked up what actor Scott Eastwood could look like as Wolverine.
There’s a reason why Boss Logic chose Scott Eastwood. It’s because the actor who will be appearing in the upcoming Pacific Rim Uprising film threw his hat in the ring to take over from Hugh Jackman and become Wolverine.
Eastwood talked about Wolverine, “I love Wolverine. He’s one of my favorite comic book characters of all time. He’s a renegade. Total badass renegade. He’s kind of, you know, a loose cannon…doesn’t play by the rules…he’s the kind of character that I love.” He also said he would be “100%” down for becoming Wolverine.
However, Eastwood might actually have competition from Hugh Jackman. Sebastian Stan spoke at ACe Comic Con in January where he hinted Jackman might return to Wolverine with the pending merger between Fox and Disney. Stan said, “Recently I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn’t know what other awkward thing I could talk about but to be like, ‘Am I going to see you soon?’ I don’t know. But he said a couple of things to me and I’ll just leave it at that. Otherwise, I feel like I’m going to get into trouble with somebody.”
Jackman had previously said he was done with the role despite the possibility of the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “I think, unfortunately, the ship has sailed for me, but for someone else I would like to see Wolverine in there.”
What do you think? Do you think Scott Eastwood could fill Hugh Jackman’s shoes and become Wolverine or do you think Hugh Jackman should reprise his role when the X-Men eventually join the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
You can catch Scott Eastwood in Pacific Rim Uprising went it hits theaters on March 23, 2018.
